Redang Island

Redang Island, part of the stunning Redang archipelago off the coast of Terengganu, is a paradise known for its pristine white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant marine life. As the largest island in the archipelago, Redang spans approximately 7 km in length and 6 km in width, making it the perfect base for exploring the surrounding islands.

The entire archipelago has been designated as the Pulau Redang Marine Park, a protected area aimed at conserving its unique ecosystem. With over 500 species of live corals and nearly 3,000 species of fish, including manta rays, sharks, and various vibrant reef fish, the waters around Redang offer some of the best snorkeling and scuba diving experiences in the world.

Diving enthusiasts will find themselves enchanted by more than twenty diving spots, including historic shipwrecks like the H.M.S. Prince of Wales and H.M.S. Repulse, both sunk during WWII. The underwater landscapes here are breathtaking, featuring black coral gardens, submerged chambers, and the Mini Mount, a popular dive site located between Kerenggan Besar Island and Kerenggan Kecil Island.

Whether you're a seasoned diver or a first-time snorkeler, Redang Island promises an unforgettable adventure in a breathtaking natural setting. With its rich marine biodiversity and stunning coral reefs, it's truly a haven for those seeking to explore the wonders of the underwater world.
